Blockchain / Blockchain Ultra Activation Issues Due to Mismatched Version

If you have both Blockchain & Blockchain Ultra installed and activated on your system, it's important to ensure they are both on the same version.

This means if you are using Blockchain Ultra 1.2.1, it is important to also update Blockchain to 1.2.1 to ensure compatibility. You should not use Blockchain 1.0.2 with Blockchain Ultra 1.2.1 - this will cause version mismatch errors, and you may experience:

  1. Unexpected loss of activation
  2. Issues with saving / recalling session information, preset information, etc.

Note that this only applies if you have both Blockchain and Blockchain Ultra installed on your system. This might happen if you originally purchased Blockchain, then upgraded to Blockchain Ultra at a later time. If you have only one or the other on your system, there is no potential for version mismatch errors.

How to Check Which Version You Are Using

To check the version of each plugin you're running:

  1. Open Blockchain in your DAW
  2. Click on the Blockchain logo
  3. On the Logo Screen, note the version (1.0.2, 1.1.3, 1.2.1, etc.)
  4. Then, repeat these steps for Blockchain Ultra
  5. Compare the versions of both Blockchain & Blockchain Ultra and ensure they are both the same version
